Well guys it’s official! SKKN by Kim Kardashianhas been announced. Since her divorce from rapper Kanye West, Kim Kardashian has launched a new business that doesn’t include the West name. This marks a departure from her previous brands, KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance, which included his name and the birth of SKKN.

Brand Promises

SKKN By Kim Kardashian has declared the range as stress-tested for up to 12 hours by a team of dermatologists, the entire collection can be used together or as individual products to complement any skin type.

The vision behind SKKN BY KIM is to serve as a bridge between the world’s most acclaimed dermatological experts and the everyday consumer, designing a modern skincare line that is effective, yet sophisticated and simple—a counterpoint to the traditionally intimidating skin care landscape.

My expectations

As a makeup artist I personally am interested in comparing the quality between her brand and her siblings, would they use similar formulas and just change the packaging or would they compete. I do hope Kim releases again her KKW Mascara, as the formula is still to this day my favourite!

One thing that is known for sure is that Kim has partnered with Coty Inc. and SKKN By Kim Kardashian line is just the beginning of her beauty empire.

With all the mentioned above, we all know that ”dermatologist-tested” labels don’t really mean much, so would this launch be just another celebrity cash-grab? We shall see 🙂
